Before You Start

1. Access to Customer Profiles
In Ako Marketing's admin, go to the Customer tab and search for your customer's name or email to access their profile.
In the customer profile, you'll see:

Loyalty Points: Displays the customer’s current points balance.

VIP Tier: Shows the customer’s current membership tier.
2. Adjust Loyalty Points Balance
Step 1: Set the Point Amount
- In the customer profile, go to Loyalty Points and click Edit Balance.

In the Points field, select Add to increase points or Subtract to decrease them.
Example: Select Add and enter 200 to add 200 points. Select Subtract and enter 100 to deduct 100 points.
Step2: Set an Expiry for the Updated Points.
- Enable Points Expiry and enter a number (in months). Example: Enter 1 for points valid for 1 month.
- Disable Points Expiry to make the points never expire.
Step3: Add Notes(Optional)

Public Note on the Customer’s Activity: Use this field to provide reasons visible to the customer in their points history. Turn off the toggle if you don't want the customer to see the reason.

Example: "Bonus 200 points for attending an offline event."
- Internal Note: Use this field for internal records only.
- Example: "200 points added due to event error correction."
After completing the fields, click Change Balance. The system will immediately update the points balance. All changes will be logged in the customer profile’s activity timeline.
3. Adjust VIP Tier

In the customer profile, go to VIP Tier and click Edit VIP

Use the Change VIP Tier to dropdown to assign a new tier to the customer.

Click Change VIP Tier to save your changes. All changes will be logged in the customer profile timeline. Ako Marketing will automatically notify the customer via email and apply the corresponding tier benefits to their account.
🚨️Notice: If you've set a membership period (like 1 year):

When you manually upgrade a tier: The customer will stay in the upgraded tier and enjoy all the benefits for the whole year, no matter how much they spend.

When you manually downgrade a tier: The customer can still upgrade if their purchases during the membership period meet the promotion requirements.
