What is the New Customer Account Page in Shopify?
- It's an updated version of Shopify’s default customer account experience.
- Allows customers to log in and manage their orders without needing a password (using email verification codes instead).
- Displays a cleaner, mobile-optimized dashboard showing recent orders, tracking details, and account information.
- Merchants can customize and extend the page by installing Shopify apps that integrate directly into the new account experience.

Before You Begin
Go to Settings > Customer accounts in your store admin. Make sure you're using the new customer accounts instead of the legacy version.

How to Set Up New Customer Accounts Page (Loyalty Program Status) on Shopify
1. Access customer account settings
- Go to your Shopify Admin.
- Click on Settings > Customer Accounts.
- You will see different sections like "Personal details," "Loyalty program status," and "Loyalty program page".
2. Enable customer accounts
- Inside the Customer Accounts page, look for the option to Set up under Loyalty Program status
- Click the Set up button.
3. Add loyalty program status widget
Simply click install:
Enable the “Loyalty program status” Akohub widgets by clicking on the + button and click profile or orders:
3.1 If you choose add to profile page:
Simply choose profile
Click save
How can customers access their loyalty program status in their profile page?
- Go to your store page and click on the profile icon as shown below:
- Click on the profile icon again to open the dropdown menu and select "Profile":
- Once inside, customers can view their loyalty program status as shown below:
3.2 If you choose add to order page:
- Simply choose order
- Click save
How can customers access their loyalty program status in the order page?
- Go to your store page and click on the profile icon as shown below:
- On the order section, they will find their loyalty program status
5. Customize the content & languages
The Content & Languages section allows you to customize and manage the text and language options that appear on the customer registration page and related widgets. You can adjust how instructions, field names, and messages are displayed to customers in different languages.
- To customize this click “edit content”:

You can edit the text content in the "Loyalty program status" section under the Customer Accounts tab. You can also click the Manage language button to add translations for other countries.

How to Customize the URL of my Own Domain?
By default, the URL of your new customer account page on Shopify looks like this:
https://shopify.com//xxx
While this works out of the box, it’s highly recommended that you use your own custom domain (e.g., https://yourstore.com/account) for a more professional and branded customer experience.

How does passwordless login work for my customers?
With Shopify's New Customer Accounts, your customers no longer need to remember passwords. They simply enter their email address, receive a 6-digit verification code in their inbox, and enter it to access their account immediately. This is faster and much more secure.
Where exactly will customers see their loyalty rewards?
You can choose to display the "Loyalty Program Status" in two locations: the Profile page or the Order detail page. Customers access these by clicking the profile icon on your store, selecting "Profile" from the dropdown, or viewing their recent order list.
Can I change the labels and language of the loyalty status widget?
Yes. Inside the Ako Marketing App under Settings > Customer Accounts, you can use the "Edit Content" button to customize field names and messages. You can also manage translations for English, Chinese (Traditional), and French to match your store's primary languages.
