How to Set Up New Customer Accounts Page (Personal Details) on Shopify
1. Access customer account settings

Go to your Shopify Admin.

Click on Settings > Customer Accounts.

You will see different sections like "Personal details," "Loyalty program status," and "Loyalty program page."
2. Enable customer accounts

Inside the Customer Accounts page, look for the option to Set up under Personal details.

Click the Set up button.
3. Add Personal details widgets
Simply click install:
Enable the “Personal details” Akohub widgets by clicking on the + button and click add profile:
4. How to access your account page on your website:
4.1 Go to your store page and click on the profile icon as shown below:
4.2 Click on the profile icon again to open the dropdown menu and select "Profile":
4.3 Once inside, you can view and update your personal details, such as your birthday and gender selections. The image on the left shows how it looks before editing, and the image on the right shows how it looks after updating:
5. Edit your “Social Account Settings”
You can customize how customers manage their personal details when creating or updating their profiles. This includes settings for birthdays, gender selections, and social account connections.
5.1 Go back to the Ako Marketing App > Settings > Accounts & Widgets > Personal Details
5.2 To manage social accounts, go to Social Accounts Settings and click “Go to settings”
5.3 If you want to control how customers input and edit their birthdates, go to the “Birthday section”
Note: If you check this box, customers will only be allowed to enter their birthdate once. After they save their birthday, they cannot change it later from their profile. This helps to prevent accuracy and fraud.
Example: A customer signs up and enters their birthday as "January 1, 2000." After submitting, the birthday field becomes locked and cannot be edited unless you manually update it from the backend.
5.4 To manage which gender options are available for customers, you can go to the gender options. Here, you will see toggles for different gender identities. You can turn on or off each gender option depending on what you want to display on the customer profile page.
6. Edit Social Account Settings
If you want to customize which social media accounts customers can connect to their profiles, navigate to social account settings to manage the available social login options (like Google, Facebook, or LINE)
7. Customize the content & languages
The Content & Languages section allows you to customize and manage the text and language options that appear on the customer registration page and related widgets. You can adjust how instructions, field names, and messages are displayed to customers in different languages.
