Introduction

Sign up rewards in a loyalty program can attract new customers, drive repeat purchases, build loyalty, differentiate a business, and increase customer lifetime value. They are a valuable tool for businesses looking to grow their customer base and increase revenue. With Ako Marketing, you can motivate your website visitors to sign up as members by offering multiple discount or point rewards. This empowers you to tailor a VIP program that effectively drives revenue growth. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating a sign up reward that works.

Before you start

✅ Sign up reward is available in our Platinum plan and above. Please go to More > Service Plan to make sure your current plan is on Platinum plan or above.

✅ Please go to Program > Settings in the navigation bar and check if "Points" is in the green "Enabled" state.

Step 1: Go to the VIP setting page

1. Go to the Loyalty Program page.
2. In the Programs section, choose the VIP setting option.

Step 2: Set up the sign up reward in the first VIP tier - Starter

  1. Go to the VIP setting page.
  2. In the VIP Tier section, edit the Starter tier by clicking the Edit.
  3. In the Rewards to unlock section, click + Add new button.
  4. You can choose Points, Amount off order, or Free shipping discount as your sign up reward.

  • Points

You can set up the reward title and the reward value with reward expiry period. Please ensure the status is on to make it working.

  • Amount off order

You can set up the reward title, reward value, and minimum purchase requirements with reward expiry period.. The reward value can be percentage based or fixed amount based. Please ensure the status is on to make it working.

  • Free shipping discount

You can set up the reward title and minimum purchase requirements with reward expiry period.. Please ensure the status is on to make it working.




If visitors register as members through Email or Akohub's social login feature, but have not yet made any purchases in the store, they will be added to the “Starter” tier level. You can click '+Add new' under 'Rewards to unlock' to offer a first-purchase discount or point reward, encouraging new customers to complete their first order.


If customers have never registered as members but have been placing orders with the same set of Email accounts, in this scenario, the system will still record the accumulated amount and the number of purchases associated with that set of Email accounts and will check for upgrade eligibility and automatically upgrade them when they register.
