What are our types of rewards?
Our loyalty program offers four simple ways to save:

Customers can earn points as rewards. Designed to encourage repeat purchases and long-term customer engagement.

Customers can also earn store credits. Store credits allow customers to accumulate credits that acts as a form of virtual currency. Applied directly to purchases at checkout with no conversion needed.

Merchants can choose between percentage and fixed-amount discounts that can be entered as a discount code during the checkout page for redemption.

Free Shipping Discount
Shoppers often abandon carts due to unexpected shipping fees, so free shipping can directly reduce this barrier. Eliminates shipping costs on qualifying orders.
Types of Earning Rules
Ako Marketing offers several types of earning rewards rules that can be grouped into 8 different categories:
1. Place an Order
Customers earn rewards every time they make a purchase in your store.
2. Create an Account
Customers get rewards just for signing up and creating an account on your website.
3. Complete Profile Information
When customers fill in their personal details such as gender and birthday in their profile, they earn rewards.
4. Add Birthday Information
Customers receive rewards for adding their birthday to their account.
5. Connect Social Media Accounts
Reward customers who connect any one social their social accounts: Facebook, Instagram, Google, LINE
Rewards only given out once, whether they connect 1 or all 4 social accounts.
6. Referral program
Reward your customers as valuable advocates for your store.
7. Write Product Reviews
When customers leave product reviews through Judge.me, they earn rewards.
8. Participate in Custom Promotions
Special reward opportunities you create using Shopify Flow for seasonal campaigns, special events, or personalized offers. For example: Receive a special gift during your membership anniversary

Default Rewards-Earning Actions
To add a way to earn points to your point program, go to Loyalty Program > Ways to earn reward, then click on "+Add new" button to add your earning actions.

Q: Can I offer more than one type of reward for the same action?
Yes! Starting from February 2025, you can set up to five different rewards for a single task (for example, giving points and a free shipping discount simultaneously).
Q: What is the difference between Points and Store Credit?
Points usually require a customer to reach a certain threshold to "redeem" them for a coupon, whereas Store Credit acts like a virtual currency that can be applied directly at checkout without any conversion step.
Q: How do I reward customers for social media follows?
You can use the "Connect Social Media Accounts" rule. Note that rewards are typically given once for the connection action, regardless of whether they connect one or multiple platforms like Facebook or Instagram.
Q: Does the "Write Product Reviews" rule work with other review apps?
Currently, the built-in integration specifically supports Judge.me. When a customer leaves a review through Judge.me, Ako Marketing automatically triggers the reward.
Q: How do I create custom rewards for seasonal events?
You can use Shopify Flow to create "Participate in Custom Promotions" rules. This allows you to trigger rewards based on specific events like a membership anniversary or a specific holiday campaign.
