What is the Referrals Reminder?

The Referrals Reminder is a pop-up widget that encourages customers to log in and claim their referral reward. It appears on your storefront and directs customers to their account page, where they can enter a referral code and receive their reward.

Where can I enable the Referrals Reminder?

To enable the Referrals Reminder:

  1. Go to Ako Marketing > Settings.

  1. Locate the Referrals Reminder card.

  1. Click Install to open the Shopify Theme Editor.

  1. Enable the Ako Referrals Reminder app embed and click save. You  can also customize the widget's appearance, including:
  • Widget position
  • Side padding
  • Bottom padding
  • Widget style
  • Widget radius
  • Button radius


Can I customize the reminder text?

Yes. Go to Content & languages and click Edit content to customize the widget text.

You can edit the following fields:

  • Join to get your reward!
  • Referral reminder description
  • Log in button text

After updating the content, click Save to apply your changes.

Frequently Asked questions

Why isn't the Referrals Reminder appearing on my storefront?

If the Referrals Reminder isn't displayed, check the following:

  • The Ako Referrals Reminder app embed is enabled in the Shopify Theme Editor.
  • You clicked Save after enabling the app embed.
  • You're viewing the published theme where the app embed is installed.
  • You're logged out of your customer account, as the reminder is intended for customers who need to log in to claim referral rewards.

Can I customize the text displayed in the Referrals Reminder?

Yes. Navigate to Ako Marketing > Settings > Referrals Reminder and click Edit content. You can customize the heading, description, button text, and other displayed messages.

Can I change the position of the Referrals Reminder?

Yes. In the Shopify Theme Editor, you can adjust the widget's placement, spacing, border radius, and other display settings to better match your storefront.

Can I translate the Referrals Reminder into multiple languages?

Yes. If your store supports multiple languages, you can manage translations in the Content & languages section. Update the content for each language to ensure customers see the correct localized text.
