A product catalog is a group of products from your Shopify store. It helps you organize items so you can promote them in your Google or Facebook ads. Creating a product catalog is the first step to running personalized and effective ad campaigns. With Ako Marketing, you can easily build a product catalog by selecting collections or specific products from your Shopify store. This guide will walk you through the process step by step, so you can get your catalog ready and start attracting more shoppers.
Step 1: Go to Product Catalogue
You can start by going to Campaigns > Product catalogs > Create collection catalog.

Step 2: Choose a Shopify Collection
Here, you select one of your Shopify collections. For example, “Crispy x Chewy”. This is the group of products you want to include in your catalog. Inside that catalog, a product set will automatically be created and named:Default Product Set. This helps organize your product.
A product set is a smaller group of products inside a product catalog. It helps you choose exactly which products you want to show in your ads. For example, you can create product sets like "Chocolate Cookie Set", "Cakes Under $20", "Best Sellers in June"

Step 3: Customize Your Product Catalog
This dashboard helps you manage your product catalog by organizing products into sets. You can view, update, or create new sets and monitor the automated feed upload schedule. To modify your product catalog, you can click on the settings button. Here you’ll see the event sources and filter out of stock products.

- Event Sources: these are Facebook Pixels connected to the catalog, allowing for dynamic ads and retargeting. They track visitor behavior and help deliver personalized product ads on Facebook/Instagram.
- Filter Out-of-Stock Products: Products with no available inventory in your Shopify store will not appear in ads. This avoids advertising unavailable items.
- Daily Upload Time: Shopify will automatically sync product data to the catalog (e.g., pricing, availability) at this time every day.
- Image Transformation Settings: This controls how product images appear in ads
