Step 1: Install Ako Marketing and Enable LINE Quick Login

  1. Click here to install Ako Marketing and select a Gold plan or higher

 🔔 If you need to use bonus points, please select Gold Plan (US$29/month); if you need points and VIP member tier features, please select Platinum Plan (US$49/month)

  1. From the Ako Marketing dashboard, go to Loyalty Program > Settings > Customer widgets > Social login > Set up, check LINE platform under Login options, and switch Account page social login to display:

  1. Then click Install under "Install social login app embed on account page," you will be directed to "Themes > App embeds," the system will enable the social login interface for you, please click Save:

  1. After saving, customers can directly register and log in as members using their LINE accounts. However, currently members will still see Ako's default LOGO on the login screen.

    Step 2 will explain how to customize the login screen's LOGO/name and link to your brand's LINE OA so customers can quickly add your brand as a friend.

Step 2: Create a Brand-Specific LINE Login App

  1. Click this link (https://developers.line.biz/console) to create a LINE developer account, fill in the information and click Create my account:

  1. Click Create a new provider:

  1. Enter your store or brand name in the Provider name field. This will be displayed on the access screen when members log in with their LINE accounts: ⬇(illustration)

  1. The "Sample Provider" text on the login screen will be changed to your store name setting.


  1. Select Create a LINE Login channel:

  1. Select Create a LINE Login channel:

  2. Fill out the Create a new channel form, here's an explanation for each field⬇

    • [Region to provide the service] Select Taiwan

    • [Company or owner's country or region] Select Taiwan

    • [Channel icon] Upload website or brand Logo

    • [Channel name] Enter website or brand name

    • [Channel description] Enter website or brand description

    • [App type] Check Web App

  • [Email address] Email will be auto-filled

  • [Privacy policy URL] Enter website privacy policy URL

  • [Terms of user URL] Enter website terms of use URL

  • Check agree to terms and click Create button:

  1. In the LINE Login tab, switch "Use LINE login in your web app" to on, and copy this URL "https://app.akohub.com/social/line/oauth" into the "Callback URL" field:

  1. Then in the Basic Settings tab, click Apply under "OpenID Connect", check agree to terms, upload brand Logo and click Submit: After clicking Submit, the Email address permission under OpenID Connect will change to "Applied" status:

  1. Switch the LINE Login App from Developing to Publish:

  1. Copy the "Channel ID" and "Channel secret" from the Basic Settings tab, and go to Ako Marketing dashboard Settings > Customer widgets > Social login > Custom app > LINE, paste the copied "Channel ID" and "Channel secret" into their respective fields:

  1. Then set up the LINE OA friend addition screen according to your needs:

  • If you "don't" need to link a LINE official account for adding friends, check "None" under LINE Official Account Display Options and save, and you've completed creating a LINE login screen with your brand LOGO!

  • If you "do" want to link a LINE official account for adding friends, you have "Normal" and "Aggressive" modes to choose from, the differences are as follows:

  1. Now you've completed creating a brand-specific LINE Login App, below is the actual login screen created for the demo account

👇 ⮕ If you've already set up a LINE official account for your brand, go to Step 3 to complete the final setup. ⮕ If this is your first time creating a LINE official account for your brand, go to Step 4 to complete the final setup.

Step 3: Connect LINE Official Account (For Those Who Already Have a LINE Official Account)

  1. Log in to LINE Official Account Manager, click settings in the upper right corner, and select "Messaging API":

  1. Select the same Provider as your LINE Login App, click Agree and OK in sequence:

  1. Return to the LINE developer account homepage (https://developers.line.biz/console) enter your LINE Login App > Basic settings > click "Edit" under Linked OA to link your LINE official account:

  1. Now you've completed the function of linking LINE official account for adding friends ✨

Step 4: Connect LINE Official Account (For Those Who Haven't Created a LINE Official Account)

  1. On the developer account homepage (https://developers.line.biz/console/), click Create a new channel:

  2. Select Messaging API:

  3. Upload your LINE official account avatar, official account name, and description:

  4. Select your LINE official account industry type, enter Email, agree to terms and click Create:

  5. Confirm again and click OK:

  1. Return to the developer account homepage (https://developers.line.biz/console/), enter your LINE Login App > Basic settings > click "Edit" under Linked OA and select the LINE official account you want to link (please select the same Provider as your LINE Login App):

  1. Go to LINE Official Account Manager to edit your LINE official account's "auto-response message." When members use LINE to log in to your Shopify store and add your LINE official account as a friend, they will immediately receive your welcome message:
